Urban Roots Hemp Co. has been crafting premium hemp-derived CBD products since 2018. We're a Michigan-based small-batch brand built on three things: quality you can verify, formulas that don't change for the sake of changing, and a craft tradition that scales slowly on purpose.

What "Michigan-Made" Means to Us

Our entire production chain — formulation, mixing, third-party lab testing, and bottling — happens in Michigan. We source hemp extract from vetted U.S. agricultural partners, then bring it home for the small-batch craft work that defines our brand.

Why Michigan? Climate, soil, water, and a genuine craft tradition. We've grown up alongside Michigan's broader hemp and craft industries, and we're proud to represent the state on labels that compete with much larger national brands.

Quality You Can Verify

Every batch we produce gets independent third-party lab testing. The COAs are published on our Lab Results page — match the batch number on your bottle to find the COA for what you bought.

We test for:

Cannabinoid profile (potency verification)
Pesticide screen
Heavy metal screen
Microbial screen
Residual solvents (when relevant)

This isn't optional. It's the single most important quality decision we make.

Why We Run a Small Brand on Purpose

We've been approached about scaling. We've turned it down. The CBD industry is full of brands that launched big with VC backing, dominated for a couple years, got acquired, changed formulations to cut cost, and quietly faded. Customers notice. Customers leave.

Our 2018 Face Moisturizer still uses the same formula. Our 2019 Freeze Cream still uses the same formula. We don't change for the sake of changing — and we don't grow faster than our quality control can keep up with.
